In 1905 a well to do New York City businessman built the Estate House at Ellinwood. Surrounded with pine trees to cleanse the air, the home was built as a retreat and place of healing for his daughter Ellin, the Estate’s namesake. Today the carefully and luxuriously remodelled Estate serves a similar function: a place away from it all, yet close to it all.
Excitement fills the air as you round the corner on Lilly Lane and the vast expanse of fields fills your view, the Adirondack Mountains as a stately backdrop. A breathtaking view up Willsboro Bay washes over you as you descend down towards the lake and pull up to the charming stone house on the point.
Nestled in a stand of mature pines and rich with Adirondack character, this classic cabin’s secluded setting offers the gamut of outdoor activities, yet is also conveniently located less than 10 Miles from Whiteface Mountain, and less than 20 Miles from Lake Placid. The cabin is surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest which is accessible for hiking and hunting via a large network of private trails, and sits on the AuSable River.
